COLLABORATE WITH EASE WITH OUR 3D MODELLING
WHAT IS BIM?
Building Information Modelling (BIM) is growing increasingly popular within the AEC industry. It’s a process for creating and managing information on a construction project. However, it also allows a 3D virtual build-up of all building services before and during the project’s lifecycle. BIM can be used for individual stages, but it’s most often used for the entire project. With the assistance of COBie, it’s also used for maintaining and running of the buildings after the hand over process.
This gives you an efficient design and installation process with reduced design clashes. It also lets you access any relevant information about the build, even once it’s complete.

KEY BENEFITS OF BIM
One of the many benefits of BIM is that it can be used to collaborate across multiple disciplines. For example, the Architect can share their BIM model with an MEP design consultancy, who can can then produce detailed MEP designs using the Architect’s model. They can also run clash detection reports between models, and use either model to produce asset information schedules. With the advanced software that’s now widely available, contractors are often insisting on BIM as a key part of any project.
